Basic Beanie Free Pattern

 Create the perfect everyday beanie, but be careful who you wear it around because everyone is going to want you to make them one!

One Size

Circumference: 20”

 

Materials:

Sassy Skein Key West Karibbean Kotton –Worsted Weight

234 Dolphin Grey (3 skeins)

Circular needle size 7 x 16”

Tapestry needle

 

Gauge:

20 Stitches and 28 Rows = 4”

To save time, check your guage!

 

This hat is knit in the round. Ribbing: In Color A, Cast on 115 stitches. Work in K1, P1 ribbing until piece measures 11". Begin shaping the crown:

Round 1: *K2 together*

Round 2: *K2 together*

Round 3: *K2 together*

Cut a long tail and use your tapestry needle to weave through the remaining stitches. Pull tight and knot. To finish, weave remaining tails in the inside of the hat and clip strands close.
